Someone close to me has died as a result of crime

You may have lost someone close to you to crime if they either died in a road traffic collision or directly because of criminal behaviour.

The homicide service provides support for family members bereaved by murder and manslaughter. The current service provider is Victim Support. The term homicide does not include support for those bereaved by road traffic incidents. If you have been bereaved by a road traffic incident contact Supporting Victims directly for help.

We’re all different but, as well as grief, feelings of shock, injustice and anger are all perfectly normal.

You may feel that no-one can help, but just talking to someone here about what you’re going through may make you understand there are people on your side. We will listen to you and can guide you to specialist organisations who can provide ongoing support.

Dave's story

Restorative Justice is a chance for a victim of crime to meet their offender. For most it's a chance to ask questions to the only person who has the answers.
