Violent crime

Violent crimes are very serious offences that can be extremely distressing for the victim.

Both physical attacks and threats of assaults are violent crime. If the offender clearly intended to harm you, regardless of whether or not you actually got hurt, the police will record a crime as violent.

How a violent crime can affect you

We’re all different but feeling distressed, confused, isolated or worried are all perfectly normal.

You may feel alone and that no-one can help, but just talking to someone here about what you have gone through will make you realise that there are people on your side. We will listen and help you understand what your choices are and how you can move forward.

Shad's story

Restorative Justice is a chance for a victim of crime to meet their offender. For most it's a chance to ask questions to the only person who has the answers.
